  1. I have worked with virtually every phase of the process that
  2. turns thought into the printed word. From the writer that thinks
  3. it up to putting the news paper on the rack at some time or the
  4. other I have done most of it.

  6. Much of my computer consulting work is with printers and
  7. newspapers helping them integrate computers into their
  8. business. I have worked with very simple operations such as a
  9. credit news letter that is printed on a dot matrix printer and
  10. run out on a copy machine to four color church directories. One
  11. project, uploading pedigrees of horses direct to a type setter
  12. saved 90% of the typesetting time and eased the very
  13. tight deadlines of a race horse auction catalog.

  15. In addition to writing I am an accomplished photographer. I have
  16. maintained a dark room for over 25 years. While most of my work
  17. is in black and white I have sold three color magazine covers.
  18. Much of my work is news photography.
  19.  
  20. In high school I worked as a printer's devil. In college I worked
  21. in the production end of news papers and print shops. This
  22. included composition, layout, camera, and pressman. While farming
  23. I worked in a number of print shops and news papers in the off
  24. season.
